This is a phishing attempt first reported to CSULB ITS on May 15, 2017.

Subject:  Receipt


The fraudulent email requests the recipient to open an attachment to review a copy of a transfer of funds.  The attachment contains a fake PDF that leads the user to View on Adobe.  That link leads the recipient to fraudulent processes.

Intent of the Email

The sender is attempting to capture personal and account information for their own malicious purposes.
