The fraudulent email masquerades as CSULB Vice President Scott Apel but comes from an AOL email address. The phisher is attempting to lure campus recipients into believe it is the real Scott Apel wanting to update his direct deposit information to divert salary to different bank account.
Intent of the Email
This is an attempt to steal wages.
